About the Instructor
Devanshu Mehrotra
Vice President of Audit Analytics and Digitalization Team, Nomura
Devanshu is currently a Vice President in the Audit Analytics and Digitalization Team at Nomura where he is responsible for providing thought leadership on how to consistently apply analytics methodology and automation across the enterprise. He has also been tasked with creating a federated audit data analytics function which includes the development of enterprise level policies and procedures and training programs for data analytics use.
Prior to joining Nomura, Devanshu was a Manager of Risk at the Financial Services Office of Ernst and Young where his project work involved data analytics, data validation, financial model development and benchmarking, development of dashboards, statistical analysis, risk assessments, control mapping and analysis, control test design, development of Computer Aided Audit Technologies, metric design, SOX testing, SSAE16 evaluations, NYDFS assessments and other such Cyber & Tech risk projects. Devanshu has also worked as a senior data analytics internal auditor at Freddie Mac and as a financial statement auditor with Deloitte and Grant Thornton.
As an educator, Devanshu has been involved in multiple educational offerings and is responsible for creating and teaching courses focusing on Data Analytics and Business Development at various institutions. Devanshu has experience using multiple analytical and coding tools such as Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI, SQL, Advanced Excel, SAS, Python, R etc.
Alum of the George Mason University in Virginia, Devanshu holds a B.S. in Finance and a B.S. in Accounting and is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
